About Me
I am a Software undergraduate student at Sungkyunkwan University with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP). During my academic and internship experiences, I have developed a practical interest in large language models (LLMs) and model evaluation. My goal is to build a solid technical foundation in machine learning while exploring the challenges of model alignment and cultural context in AI systems.
Research & Experience
Research Intern
July 2025 – Sept 2025Human Language Intelligence (HLI) Lab, SKKU
- Pipeline Implementation: Assisted in implementing masked language modeling pipelines using PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers for Vietnamese NLP research.
- Model Fine-Tuning & Data Processing: Handled data preprocessing and participated in fine-tuning BERT models, contributing to experiments focused on cultural knowledge evaluation.
- Evaluation Metric Contribution: Implemented a novel evaluation metric, such as the Cultural Bias Score (CBS score) to measure model performance, and conducted experiments on bias detection and mitigation in Large Language Models (LLMs).
Projects
Capstone Design Project
Sept 2024 - Dec 2024- Component Assembly: Selected and integrated hardware components (Raspberry Pi, facial recognition modules, QR scanners) while adhering to budget constraints.
- Prototyping: selected open-sourced components, modified, re-modeled, and 3D-printed custom housing components for the system prototype.
- System Testing: Conducted functionality tests and troubleshot software-hardware integration issues to ensure system stability.
